About

Merry has been working in the mental health field for the past 15 years. She started her career in New York City working with victims of domestic violence at Victims' Services.

She received her master's degree in clinical social work from New York University. She has received advanced training in couples and family therapy from the Ackerman Institute in New York City and Smith College School of social work. She studied addictions at Rutgers University and Harvard medical school and is an internationally certified addictions counselor.

After working for several agencies in New York City as a clinical supervisor and program director Merry moved to Connecticut and joined the staff of Hall-Brooke Hospital. She has also worked at Silver Hill Hospital in the adolescent, adult and dual diagnosis programs.

Her clinical specialties are addictions and trauma treatment as well as anxiety, depression, relationship, career and life transition issues. She has extensive experience with couples counseling and with adolescent and women's issues.

Merry started her private practice in Connecticut in 2002, with offices in Wilton, CT, Ridgefield, CT, and Wesport, CT.
